Jensen Huang Arrives! U.S. Tech Giants Gather at White House to Discuss AI Infrastructure Development

Several major figures in the U.S. tech industry, including NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Microsoft President Brad Smith, gathered at the White House on the 12th to discuss AI infrastructure with government officials. U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan were also in attendance.

After the meeting, the White House issued a statement announcing the formation of an AI Data Center Task Force to coordinate policy across various government departments. The Department of Energy will also establish a team to support the development of AI data centers.

White House spokesperson Robyn Patterson stated that both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are committed to ensuring the establishment of data centers in the U.S., while also promoting responsible technology development to strengthen America's leadership in AI.

When leaving the White House, Jensen Huang commented that a new industrial revolution is unfolding, and it’s crucial to understand the needs, opportunities, and challenges of the future. Given the rapid growth, public-private collaboration may be necessary.

Other attendees included OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Google President Ruth Porat, and Microsoft President Brad Smith.
